Century, double century, triple century, fourth century, —————-, eighth century, ninth century and finally it is tenth century. This is the series of centuries scored by a single batsman named Pranav Dhanawade. And he is just 15 years old boy of Kalyan.
This unique feat has placed him among the likes of great batsman of all times. Pranav has broken the 116 years old record of the highest total made by AEJ Collins way back in 1899. He also surpassed the previous highest total 546 made two years ago by Prithvi Shaw. The stamina of this ordinarily looking boy has enabled him to remain in action for more than 300 minutes. As a part of his knock, he hit 59 sixes and 129 fours to go past the magical total of 10000. Another significant thing is that he remained unbeaten after this knock. This means that if he had had some more time, he would have reached another unbelievable total. Though this achievement has been made in the school level tournament, it will find reflection at the national and international level cricket. He just has to maintain consistency and the instinct to perform still better.
A single inning has made Pranav a hero overnight. He received the congratulatory messages from the legendary cricketers and stalwarts. After the retirement of Sachin Tendulkar, a gap has been created in the Indian cricket. Who knows Pranav would be the one filling that gap?
