Active voice and Passive Voice:-
1. In active voice, the subject is given supreme importance.
2. In passive voice, the object is given supreme importance.
3. Only transitive verbs – (verbs that need an object to complete their sense) can ever be in the passive.
4. Third forms of the verbs are used in passive.
Following is the structures of sentences in Passive voice:
1. When the sentence is in Simple Present Tense: किया जाता है / सुना जाता है / बुलाया जाता हूँ
(Positive) Sub+ is/are/am+ verb3
(Negative) Sub+ is/are/am + not + verb3
(Interrogative) Is/are//am+ sub+ verb3?
(Neg- interrogative) Is/are/am + sub + not +verb3?
(Wh. – interrogative) Wh + is/are/am + Sub + verb3?
(Wh. Neg- interrogative) Wh +is/are/am+ sub+not+verb3?
Examples:-
(ACTIVE VOICE = I ask a question. मै एक सवाल पूछता हूँ।)
(PASSIVE VOICE = A question is asked by Me. एक सवाल पूछा जाता है मेरे द्वारा।)
They are given order to complete this project before May 2016.
Police is informed about his activity.
I am never appreciated in this company.
You are not invited for this meeting.
Is he rewarded after every performance?
Aren’t they paid their salary on time?
Isn’t he given this authority?
Why am I asked this question again and again?
