Anchoring-
This is perhaps the best opportunity to test one’s ability to face an audience. The role of an anchor is not restricted to simply talking about the script he or she may have. It is more about the management of audience. It is about changing the track depending upon the response of people. It also requires the sense of humour. The comfort level with the audience is another requirement. Therefore, an anchor acts like a thread which binds the audience with the other performers.
We have many reality shows aired on most of the entertainment channels. And every reality show is hosted by an anchor. Though the anchors are different but there are certain things common in them. And that is the energy level. When they speak, the positive vibration flows across the atmosphere. Another commendable thing is the command over the language. They speak fluently and flawlessly. Plus, they also play with the emotions of the audience. They create the loads of curiosity that force the audience to stay hooked to them. Lets take few examples to make things clearer.

I am very fortunate to get this platform for showcasing my talent. I am delighted to win this competition. Thanks a lot to my well -wishers.
I was very nervous in the beginning but looking at the response of the viewers, I got the confidence to give my best. Thanks to everyone who liked my performance.
I want to say a lot but I am speechless. I am overjoyed due to winning this prestigious competition. I feel being at the top of this world.
It’s a dream come true. This is the moment I can never forget in my life. May this moment come again and again!
Closing the ceremony
It was delightful to see the variety of performances today. All those who came and entertained the audience deserve thanks from everyone. In brief, it was an amazing experience.
Like a happy ending, this ceremony comes to close. But the memories of this event will continue to amuse all of us for days to come. Thanks a lot to everyone who made this event successful.

Anchor- Ladies and Gentlemen, it gives me great pleasure to begin this much-awaited event of the year in a starry night. Yes it’s a starry night indeed. This is the place filled with stars all around. In the sky, we have natural stars. On the ground we have plenty of film stars. It has been a long tradition to honour the Bollywood personalities for their excellent contribution to the Hindi cinema. This occasion is the continuation of the same auspicious tradition. I feel privileged to say that this function is graced by the eminent personalities who will act as the link between the awards and the awardees. Yes you have rightly guessed. They will be the. So are you ready with your curiosity and claps. Before we get to know the name of the winners, we will see the four nominations. And finally the winner will emerge from these nominations.
The four nominations are shown to the one who will present the awards. But the best present will come from you in the form of your applause and an unconditional support audience. Again the focus is on the anchor.
Anchor- Ladies and gentlemen, these four nominations must have increased your curiosity and you will be desperate to know who the best actor of this year is. Please hold your curiosity for few more moments. In the meantime, I will call upon one of the most distinguished and the esteemed actor of the film industry Mr Amitabh Bachhan. His name needs no introduction. There are many generations that grew watching his movies. His list of admirers is so long that this night will be too short to accommodate. He has also been honoured with the actor of the millennium. Besides being a successful actor, he is also a great singer. He has lent his voice to many songs.
Product Launch–
This is yet another area which requires the active contribution of an anchor. Sometimes the top official of the company is roped in. For example in the past, whenever Apple launched a product, the CEO Steve Jobs made the announcement. But this is not the case always. Many a times a competent anchor can do a better job. In order to make the launch effective, the anchor should research the features of the product well.
Let’s take an example of a company say Maruti Suzuki launching a new model of a car. This car has a unique feature of automatic gear. This means the driver doesn’t have to shift gear. There is a system which changes the gear automatically depending upon the speed of the car. Now the anchor has to highlight this point effectively in front of the media. Mentioned below is the way of doing it.
Anchor– Ladies and Gentlemen, today is the beginning of a new era in the Indian Automobile industry. From now on wards the car users will get a special gift. And this gift is all about not using the clutch anymore while driving the car. This means, instead of three peddles, there will be just two peddles. So two legs and only two peddles. If you think that it is happening in your dream, please pinch yourself. You will find it happening in the real world.
