When someone decides to travel by train, it is mandatory to undergo the whole process of transportation. For example, they have to find the vehicle to go from their origin to the station. This is followed by the search for a porter to shift the luggage to the platform. Then, comes the food part. Now-a-days, many trains have the pantry car but the menu is limited. So, if one wants the delicious food, then one has to wait till they reach their destination. In short, the transit involves many steps and every step presents a hassle. Now, things are going to be simple with the use of technology. The Indian Railway is going to come up with an App that will integrate all the activities and make them much simpler and less time consuming.
For instance, if one wants to go to the station, the cabs like Ola and Uber can be booked from the app itself. After reaching the station, the porters can also be hired through App. Having boarded the train, passengers can place the order of the meals online and the same will be delivered at their seat. If the trip is for sightseeing that requires a stay in a hotel, the App will come in handy and hotel accommodation can via the App. In other words, the single App will the solutions to all desired requirements. It is good that with changing time, the Railways is empowering the passengers with the facilities available on their palm. It is, no doubt ,a smart step powered by the smart phone. The only flip side is the wait time. It will take some time for the Railway to launch this App.
