Movie is nothing but a form of story -telling. Only difference, when compared to normal story- telling, is the depiction of emotions. In other words the makers of movie try their best to exploit the emotional connect of the viewers to convey their message clearly. Over the period of time, film making has assumed the role of an industry with profit being the biggest motive. To some extent, it is justified also because a film requires several crores, sometimes hundreds of crores, and the producer who spends so much will expect a decent profit on it.
What makes a movie good or bad depends on who is assessing it. In general the movie is meant to entertain, so the element that does this job well contributes to a good movie. At the same time, if the movie conveys a positive message, it adds to its effectiveness. It is possible to have the right blend of both the factors. There have been certain movies that catered to both the needs. Another factor that makes the movie stand out in crowd is whether it can be watched with other family members or not. Since the films reflect the practices of society, the movie should conform to the society norms.
India is the country that produces one of the largest numbers of movies in different languages. Even Hindi movies themselves are made in hundreds in a year. However, the movies with right ingredients are still in short supply.
